Word by Word: How to Publish a Book

Publishing a book is no easy task, but with enough dedication, education, and creativity, you can be a published author. Author Sarah Nicolas will discuss the process of both self and traditional publishing, including how to acquire a literary agent. ??Sarah Nicolas is a recovering mechanical engineer, library event planner, and author who lives in Orlando with a 60-lb mutt who thinks he's a chihuahua. Sarah writes YA novels as Sarah Nicolas and romance under the name Aria Kane. They have published both traditionally and independently, and have also worked in the publishing industry as an editorial intern, editorial assistant, publicist, publicity director, cover artist, and art director. Sarah is the current Managing Director for Pitch Wars. They are a contributor for Book Riot and are represented by Rebecca Podos of Rees Literary Agency.
