The future has arrived! Following an introduction to using the 3D printer, get hands-on experience. Each session will have designated time at the end to work on individual projects. Space is limited. Registration Required.

Cooking Matters for Kids

Children will enjoy a series of 6 cooking classes offering a chance to gain skills in the kitchen while also learning about nutrition and food safety. Ages 8 and up. Due to limited supplies, each class will be limited to 15 spots. Please register each participating child.

 

The program is instructed by Esther Oyola, Program Assistant of the University of Florida IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program.

Hook into our monthly crochet circle. Those with experience will have great company to share projects and are available to help newcomers. Recommended supplies include: a basic medium weight yarn (like Red Heart Super Saver) and medium sized crochet hook (i.e. size G.)

Central Writers Group: NaNoWriMo Project Pitch

Bring paper and pen, or your laptop to begin with a brief lesson and writing prompt exercises, followed by time to share your work with feedback from peers. Ages 16 and up. This week, we introduce what the NaNoWriMo challenge is, what we'll be doing over the next two months, and authors pitch their ideas for a NaNoWriMo project to one another.
