The Library turns an exciting page with the opening of the new West Osceola Branch Library.

Celebrate in Celebration as the new West Osceola Branch Library opens! Join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony, special activities and crafts, a fun story time, face painting, balloons, and more! Don't miss out on the action. And don't forget to check out a book!

Grand Opening Day Agenda:

10:00 a.m. - Word of Welcome
10:15 a.m. - Invocation, Raising of the Flag, Pledge of Allegiance
10:30 a.m. - Ribbon Cutting
11:00 a.m. - Gatorland presents a wildlife show with LIVE animals! (Multipurpose Room)
11:15 a.m. - Smiles Face Painting and balloon animals (Children's Area)
12:00 p.m. - Cake cutting and refreshments with Clifford the Big Red Dog (Library Front Steps)
; Food for sale by Chik-fil-A 12:30 p.m. - Family magic/comedy show with Sammy Smith (Multipurpose Room)
2:00 p.m. - Children's poetry reading with poet and actor Charles Waters. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. (Children's Area)
2:30 p.m. - Love Your Library Storytime and Craft (Multipurpose Room)

Timeline

1/15/2013 :

West Osceola Branch Library will be unavailable as a hold pick-up location. Customers may choose any other branch library as a pick-up location until the new branch library opens on 2/9/2013.

1/19/2013 :

All holds with a pick-up location of West Osceola Branch Library will be temporarily converted to the Hart Memorial Central Library, should these holds come available during the time the branch library is in transition. By 2/15/2013, all unavailable holds change back to the pick-up location of West Osceola Branch Library.

1/23/2013 :

West Osceola Branch Library collection will be non-holdable until the new library opens on 2/9/2013. Holds will be filled using the collection of other branch libraries.

1/25/2013 :

All holds that are currently available for pick up at the West Osceola Branch Library will have the pick up location changed to Hart Memorial Central Library.

1/26/2013 :

Current West Osceola Branch Library closes at 7pm, but book drop remains open.

2/8/2013 :

Book drop no longer available at old West Osceola Branch Library location.

2/9/2013 :

New West Osceola Branch Library opens!
