Live Online: 4th Annual Lit Mag Reception

To commemorate the achievements of our local young authors, the Teen and Tween winners of our Literary Magazine contest will have their original short pieces read aloud at this LIVE reception via Zoom. Published authors Vivi Barnes (Olivia Twisted, Paper or Plastic) and Nina Moreno (Don't Date Rosa Santos, Our Way Back to Always) will open the reception with a discussion about creative writing. The School District of Osceola County's READ Bus

In Person Program
The Osceola School District's Special Programs Department is bringing their READ Bus, a renovated yellow school bus with an interior that resembles a mini pre-k classroom, to Osceola Library System's branches. The READ Bus is equipped with resources to engage parents and families of pre-school age children and toddlers in activities to develop early literacy skills under the guidance of trained parent liaisons. Be sure to arrive early as families will be welcomed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Storytime at the Park

Relax and enjoy socially distanced stories, rhymes, and sunshine at our Outdoor Storytime in the Osprey Pavilion at Lakefront Park.

Ms. Delaney will share stories and encourage little ones and their grownups to follow along with movement exercises. Masks, for participants over 2 years old, and social distancing are required. Participants are encouraged to bring towels or blankets to help designate spaces. In the event of inclement weather, Storytime at the Park will be canceled. Presented in partnership with the City of Kissimmee.
