Relax and enjoy socially distanced stories, rhymes, and sunshine at our Outdoor Storytime in the Osprey Pavilion at Lakefront Park.
Mrs. Kaitie will share stories and encourage little ones and their grownups to follow along with movement exercises. Masks, for participants over 2 years old, and social distancing are suggested. Participants are encouraged to bring towels or blankets to help designate spaces.
In the event of inclement weather, Storytime at the Park will be held at the Hart Memorial Library in the Lillie Room. Presented in partnership with the City of Kissimmee.

English for Families is a series of interactive classes for parents and children (ages 6-12) that focuses on developing English vocabulary and literacy through strategic and fun story reading. Funding for this program was provided by Florida Humanities Council and Sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture. A beginner course in American Sign Language presented by ASL Services. Learn the basic skills required to begin communicating with Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in your community.
These ASL classes are taught by Deaf instructors; students will learn to carry on an everyday conversation with Deaf individuals. Role-playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. By the end of class, some of the skills you will learn are: Manual Alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself, facial expressions, talking about family, and more.

Finger plays, rhythm movement, and dancing create the perfect opportunity for fun-filled learning as you watch your child develop their vocabulary, counting skills, creative thinking, and listening skills. Ages 2 - 5 years old.
