Pollinators are an essential part of the natural world. One in three bites of food we eat depends on pollinators. From butterflies and bees to beetles and birds, many kinds of pollinators have evolved within their ecosystems by building unique relationships with plants. This exhibition explores the who, what, when, where, why, and how of pollination, and the essential role that pollinators play in the natural world.
The poster exhibition is funded in part through a generous grant by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee.

Marcella Peralta Simon is a retired Latinx grandmother, splitting her time between Cambridge, UK and Kissimmee, Florida. She has been a diplomat, university professor, and instructional designer. She writes poetry and short fiction. Her artwork has been featured in Smoky Blue Literary and Arts Magazine, Beyond Words Literary Magazine, Tofu Ink Arts Press, Persimmon Tree, and The Acentos Review. Simon derives from her Latin American roots and background in social activism and cultural education to create commentary on the tribulation and joy of the human condition. She also wanders fens and swamps looking for nests and other beginnings.
The Solivita Artisan Guild is an organization located in Poinciana aimed at fostering artists and their talents by sponsoring exhibitions, workshops, and seminars. Its mission is to enrich the lives of the community through art and emphasize the importance of creativity.

Veterans Memorial Library - St. Cloud Branch
This exhibit is on display from Wednesday, November 19 – Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Sara Nguyen, working professionally under Nguyen in Doubt Art, LLC for almost nine years, has been active as an artist in Georgia and Florida. As a muralist, she has painted for many brands and groups, also partnering with Fetch Dog Parks in Atlanta to paint over 100 murals in five different parks.
In her smaller scale artworks, Nguyen is largely inspired by her upbringing in Florida, utilizing the state’s natural world as inspiration. Her bird portrait series aims to capture the vivid essence of the tropical world, where nature’s palette is at its most extravagant. Each portrait is more than a representation; it’s a celebration of the bird’s spirit and individuality. In her oyster shell series, Nguyen delves into the subtle yet profound beauty of these often-overlooked treasures from the sea. Each shell is a unique artifact, shaped by the rhythms of the ocean and the passage of time, and her work seeks to celebrate their intricate forms and delicate textures. Through these works, the artist hopes to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world and encourage a moment of quiet contemplation amidst our often hurried lives.
