At the request of the School Board of Osceola County, the Osceola Library System is discontinuing the student library card program, OLL Access Pass. OLL Access Passes will be deleted from our patron database by November 2, 2023, unless there are lost or overdue materials checked out on the account. Accounts with lost or overdue items will be blocked from further checkouts. Please return any overdue or outstanding materials to a library branch as soon as possible.

If a student has both an OLL Access Pass and a full-service library card, only the OLL Access Pass will be deleted. Anyone without a full-service library card is encouraged to visit a branch location of the Osceola Library System to sign up for a library card. Students under 16 must have a parent or guardian present.

About the OLL Access Pass

The innovative student library card program enabled all Osceola School District students to receive special library access with the Osceola Library Link (OLL) Access Pass using their student ID number. This opened up the wealth of respected and engaging online resources to students.

Making its debut in October 2021, the OLL Access Pass has been very successful in encouraging students to use the Library’s resources for reading, research, learning and fun. Osceola students checked out nearly 13,000 items from the Library using their OLL Access Pass, including books, eBooks, audiobooks and DVDs.  The Library curated helpful collections with students in mind, such as Sunshine State Books, Book Club Kits, the Choose Your Own Adventure series, and audio and eBook versions of reading list titles.

The OLL Access Pass gave students access to the Library’s resources in the classroom or media center, as well as in their free time. From the ClassLink portal, students accessed the Osceola Library System’s resources over 70,000 times during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.

Students searching online found primary sources with Encyclopedia Britannica, brushed up on their language skills with Mango Languages, studied for standardized tests with Peterson’s Test Prep, discovered their next favorite book with Novelist, and reviewed Library-created InfoGuides for book and website recommendations.

The OLL Access Passes have been popular with all grades, high school students have checked out the most items. St. Cloud High School students were the biggest Library users of the OLL Access Pass, followed by:

  • Central Avenue Elementary
  • Harmony High School
  • St. Cloud Middle School
  • Celebration High School

From inside the classrooms, schools like Neptune Middle, Tohopekaliga High, Westside K-8, Osceola School for the Arts and Sunrise Elementary spent hundreds of hours exploring Library resources.

Thank you to all students, parents, educators and administrators who supported this valuable service. The Library is committed to discovering new and convenient ways for Osceola students to access the important Library materials they need to continue their learning journey and to spark or deepen their love of reading.
