Florida Teens Read

The Florida Teens Read (FTR) program is a student-choice reading award program to determine which YA book wins the annual award as the favorite of teens in Florida.

Host your own book club with friends!

The Library has seven exciting titles in kits you can pick up at any of our branches. These kits will be in clear tote bags containing 10 copies of the book, discussion questions, suggested activities, and an author biography.

Kits can be found at the following branches, or placed on hold through our catalog for pickup at your preferred branch.

When checking out kit, be sure to scan the barcode on the bag and all 10 books. When you’re finished, return them together as a group!

Sunshine State Young Readers Award

The Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) Program is a statewide reading motivational program for students in grades 3 through 8. The purpose of the SSYRA Program is to encourage students to read independently for pleasure and to read books that are on, above, and below their reading level in order to improve their reading fluency.
